Socrates
Socrates is defined by his profound connection with vinyl records. Immersed in various genres, including electro, house, EBM, and primitive forms of trance and techno, he is passionately dedicated to the pursuit of rhythm and captivated by the transformative power of dance.
From 2013 to 2019, Socrates held the position of resident DJ at Cyprus’ historic club, klubd. During this time, he performed numerous main-act sets and warmed up the floor for esoteric DJs and acts such as Nicolas Lutz, Daniel Bell, Binh, Francesco Del Garda, Sonja Moonear, Do Or Die, Vera, Evan Baggs, Ceephax Acid Crew, and more. Currently, he serves as the resident DJ at Sllip, Cyprus’ sole underground techno club.
Since 2015, Socrates has been the resident DJ for the enduring Manic parties, sharing the stage with artists like Âme, Quest, Priku, Barac, Patrice Baumel, and Vlada. A highlight of his career with the Manic team was playing before and after Berghain’s longest-serving resident DJ, Marcel Dettmann, to an enthusiastic crowd of 500+.
From 2016 to 2019, Socrates took charge of klubd’s artist bookings, curating a lineup that included admired acts such as Binh, Quest, Francesco Del Garda, and Do or Die. Additionally, he co-founded the Ophan festival and the KATHXHTIKO series of day parties, showcasing his commitment to fostering the underground music community.
